Anotace:

Why Timeless?

Well, I loved Remembrance and Vengeance so much - I found really relaxing and romantic book for myself and I needed another part! Well, Timeless is here!
 

Covers

I love covers from this series. They look really cute - the first one and second one with masks - who doesn't want to be "princess" in ball gown? The last one, Timeless cover, has its own magic - we see Lizzie running through the corridor, again with mask. I know they might be people who don't like it but I think it is pretty cover for this series.

Review:

Well, at first, I am not native english speaker, so please, be patient with me! I am doing my best! Lizzie Davenport found her soul mate, Drew in Remembrance, Book 1 of Transcendent series. They found out about their past lives in Regency Era in Britain. Their love travels through the history. In Regency Era, Lizzie died and Drew married Catherine (which is reincarnated Chelsea in present).  In Remembrance, Lizzie has faced fate and won. She is still alive and she got second chance with Drew. But Chelsea is against their love. She feels betrayed and she wants Drew for herself. So she puts curse on Lizzie. Lizzie, Drew and Chelsea have to deal with one another and help Lizzie to face the fate again. If they're not, Lizzie is going to die. They have to travel back to history and change it - before it's too late for Lizzie.

Timeless is third book in Transcendent saga. It has about 120 pages, so it looks really short for someone. It did for me. I was reading and yep, it was end. But I really enjoyed this book - it is written really lightly and clearly and I had no problem with understanding. I loved the topic of this book - I think travelling through time is really powerfull and entertaining topic to write about. Timeless is also really romantic book - we can see relationship between Drew and Lizzie and also Lizzie and Chelsea. Author showed us really cute couple which might look like cliché. Yeah, mabye in some parts of book - but there is one big plus for it. Every girl sometimes needs book like Timeless. Romantic and cliché with gorgeous boy. I am one of them and I really appreciate author's choice.

Well, there are a few characters which I really liked. Lizzie, of course. She is amazing painter and she is really afraid of death. She doesn't want to loose Drew and Chelsea. She knows Chelsea felt really upset and she didn't know about Lizzie's end in past. She doesn't want to loose her best friend which is really nice of her. Even in Remembrace Lizzie was really carefull and she looked after Chelsea's feelings for Drew. Drew - sweetboy with cute image and kind character. He loves Lizzie so much and he feels sorry for some mistakes he did. But it doesn't matter for Lizzie. And Chelsea, betrayed and upset girl who only wanted to get Drew back. I understand her feeling. I would behave same, I think. There are characters which made really cool atmosphere in book, like Jeremy, Lizzie's and Chelsea's family and etc...

After all, I enjoyed Timeless so much. It was light and bright book which made me smile like idiot. I needed book like this. I recommend it to everybody who loves romantic stories and ladies in ball gowns with beautiful masks. Michelle Madow, you did really great job!

Timeless je posledním dílem v triologii romancí z prostředí cestování časem. Lizzie a Drew můžou být konečně spolu po tom, co si vše vyjasnili a objevili svůj společný život ve viktoriánské Anglii. Zdá se, že jejich idylický vztah bude pokračovat bez sebemenší poskrvnky - nebýt Chelsea, Lizziny bývalé nejlepší kamarádky, s kterou se Drew rozešel a ona z toho viní jen a jen Lizzie. Jak jsme se dověděli ve Vengeance, tak Chelsea zjistila něco o svém minulém životě a zatoužila po tom, aby vše skončilo tak, jako v minulém životě - ona a Drew dohromady. A tak na Lizzie uvrhla kletbu. Aniž by to ale Chelsea tušila, tak tím Lizzie podepsala celkem jistý rozsudek smrti. Během dvou dnů je Liz dvakrát napadena havrany, což jistě nevěstí nic dobrého. S pomocí Drewa a Chelsea se nakonec o kletbě dovídá. Je jen jedna možnost - cestovat zpět do minulosti a změnit ji tak, aby Lizzie tehdy neumřela. Dokáže tomu trojice zabránit nebo Lizzie čeká nevyhnutelné?

Oproti prvnímu dílu má Timeless pouze něco okolo 120 stran (e-book), čímž je rozhodně kratší než Remembrance. Autorka pokračuje svým obvyklým odlehčeným stylem a finišuje. Čtenáři jsou napjatí, co se stane s jejich oblíbeným párem Lizzie/Drew. Příběh je miloučký, ale díky malému rozsahu stran je přečten cobydup a vám může připadat, že tomu něco chybí. Dle mého názoru mohla autorka Vengeance a Timeless klidně sloučit do jedné knihy, čímž by kniha byla stejně dlouhá jako Remembrance. Jinak si ale nemám na co stěžovat a myslím, že ten, kdo od knihy moc neočekává, bude celkem příjemně překvapen. Hrdinové jsou celkem věrohodní a vztah mezi nimi je doopravdy miloučký. Celá série mne celkem bavila a pro čtenáře v angličtině jí rozhodně doporučuju - je jedna z jednodušších.
